Hospital Bag Checklist

A hospital bag should make admission and the first trip home easier. Check your hospital's own list before buying special items.

Pack in small labelled groups

• Documents, reports, identification and payment details.
• Comfortable clothing, toiletries and feeding support items.
• A few newborn clothes, nappies and a going-home layer.
• Phone charger, water bottle and essentials for the birth partner.

Pack by around the time your care team suggests, and keep the bag easy to find.
